Members of the Vanguard Landing Executive Team including Debbie Dear, Executive Director, Laure Haddock, Director of Admissions and Tim Blum, Community Programs Director along with Board member, Jon Irby had the amazing and unique opportunity to participate in the Third Annual Executive Leadership Symposium hosted by one of our sister communities, Marbridge located in Austin, Texas.
From April 22nd through the 24th, the team was able to experience a wide variety of lectures featuring some key note speakers and also some breakout sessions. The topics of the lectures ranged from Employee Engagement to sustainable fundraising for non-profits. The breakout sessions offered an opportunity to actively participate in discussions that included post-secondary college experiences, apartment and independent living, life planning for persons with disabilities, and the impact government policies have on residential communities. The information presented throughout the entire symposium will help Vanguard Landing become even more successful as we continue to move forward! We look forward to putting what we learned into practice!
