Hearts & Hoofbeats 2026 was more than just a celebration — it was a historic night for Vanguard Landing.

This year’s Housewarming Hoedown brought together an incredible community of supporters who showed up with enthusiasm, generosity, and a shared belief in creating a future where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can live with purpose, dignity, and belonging.

And the results were nothing short of remarkable.

From the moment guests arrived, the room was filled with energy and excitement. Cowboy boots, warm smiles, and heartfelt conversations created an atmosphere that perfectly reflected the spirit of the Vanguard Landing community.

Guests enjoyed a lively evening filled with delicious food from Chef By Design, signature drinks served by The Tipsy Squirrel, music thanks to DJ Melody & Co, and a silent auction featuring incredible items generously donated by local businesses and supporters.

The event also featured special “housewarming” opportunities, where guests could directly support the cottages that will soon welcome Vanguard Landing’s first residents — helping provide furnishings, activity supplies, and the comforts that transform a house into a home.

One of the most powerful moments of the night came during the paddle raise, when guests lifted their paddles in support of Vanguard Landing’s future. In a moving display of generosity, supporters came together to fund meaningful elements that will enrich daily life for future residents and help bring this community to life.

Behind the scenes, an extraordinary team made the evening possible. This year’s event was supported by our largest volunteer team ever, along with a record level of sponsorship support from businesses and community partners who believe deeply in Vanguard Landing’s mission.

Because of this incredible outpouring of support, the impact of Hearts & Hoofbeats extends far beyond one evening. The funds raised will help continue the momentum of building homes, creating employment opportunities, and developing programs that empower adults with disabilities to live vibrant, fulfilling lives.
