Why Did They Do That?

How Can My Voice Be Heard?

Now is your chance to Hear and be Heard!

Come to the Vanguard Landing farmhouse to hear and be heard on a number of issues that are important to you, your family and your community!  Plus, we’ll have food trucks!

Visit our beautiful property and discuss tolls, school funding, social services, transportation projects, development, environmental issues or whatever is near and dear to your heart, with the people who have the power to enact changes right here in our community and commonwealth!

Vanguard Assembly is For You

This event gives you a rare opportunity to interact with both office holders and candidates at all levels of government, in one location, and at the same time. You do not want to miss this!

The first annual Vanguard Assembly will be held Thursday, August 11th, from 4-6 pm, at the Vanguard Landing property located at 2020 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA. Representatives and candidates will be on hand for you to talk with. Plus, each official and candidate will have a chance to briefly speak on stage during the event to share their policy platform. A special musical appearance by the “Sound Waves” Glee club will follow!

Even if you aren’t interested in politics, it’s a great opportunity to come out and enjoy some great food and mingle with friends new and old (and also learn about Vanguard Landing!)

Enjoy food from local food trucks:

  • A Bite of Maine – specializes in fresh Maine Seafood such as: Lobster Rolls, Whole Belly Fried Clams, Haddock Fish & Chips, Maine Famous Red Hot Dogs, Homemade Chowders and much more!
  • Thai Express – Authentic Thai cuisine including noodles, curry, pad Thai and plenty of other spicy and delicious meals!

We have confirmations for multiple politicians who will be attending, and more are committing every day.  Watch this website and our Facebook page for the latest updates!

Of course it’s not all politics and food — you’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about Vanguard Landing and our mission to provide for a community with very special and unique individuals.  We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, August 11th, from 4-6 pm.
